This short telephoto prime’s bright f/1.4 maximum aperture is perfect for low light shooting and offers great control over depth of field for isolating subjects and working with selective focus that is perfect for portraiture.
A variety of advanced lens technologies, including a Hybrid Aspherical element, allow for a more compact (< 3 inches long) and lightweight (17oz) design that also minimizes aberrations, controls distortion, and provides excellent resolution. UMC Ultra Multi-Coating has been applied to individual elements in order to reduce flare and ghosting for increased contrast and accurate color rendition.
Two Linear Ultrasonic Motors (LSM’s) that only have to adjust a single inner lens group to achieve precise, quick, and quiet autofocus performance. An AF/MF switch is also featured for seamless switching between focusing modes.
Additional notable features of the Rokinon AF 85mm F1.4 include weather sealing, all metal construction, an ergonomically designed size, shape and grip for enhanced comfort and a 9 blade rounded aperture that contributes to pleasing bokeh.
